Projects

Things I’ve built outside work. Most of them started as tools for myself: Subtracker, Git Scope Explorer, Peam, Rooaa, ASCII Invader and RedditWallpaperBot.

Git Scope Explorer

Git Scope Explorer 2026

A VS Code extension, with a Neovim module, that shows only the files git sees as changed.

Work inside the paths you're actually touching instead of scrolling through the whole project tree. It's had over 800 downloads on Open VSX.

  • TypeScript
  • Lua
  • VS Code
  • Neovim
Peam

Peam 2021

A platform for programming courses with plagiarism reports, built with a friend at university.

Teachers create courses, upload lectures, invite students and set coding assignments. I wrote the backend. Plagiarism reports compare syntax trees parsed with tree-sitter rather than raw text, so renaming functions and variables doesn't hide copied code. It supported Python and JavaScript.

  • Python
  • Django
  • PostgreSQL
  • tree-sitter
  • Docker
Rooaa

Rooaa

An app for visually impaired people that describes their surroundings out loud.

Started at a hackathon with a friend: point the camera at your surroundings and it describes them, using real-time object detection (YOLOv3), depth estimation and voice output. I worked on the backend and kept maintaining it after the hackathon, most recently in 2023.

  • YOLOv3
  • Celery
  • Docker
ASCII Invader

ASCII Invader

A Space Invaders clone for the terminal.

I wanted to know what it takes to write a game with no engine, just a terminal and C++. The answer turned out to be a game loop, careful cursor control and a lot of patience.

  • C++
RedditWallpaperBot

RedditWallpaperBot

A small script that downloads the top-rated wallpapers from the subreddits you point it at.

I still use it.
